The Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the NGO All-Ukrainian Organization "Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) have agreed to cooperate in the realm of e-sport. Today, Deputy Minister Ihor Bezkaravainyi and the acting Director of the Ukrainian Esports Federation signed the respective memorandum.
The cooperation involves promotion of e-sport among war veterans, organization of various cyber-sport events, and introduction of social projects for rehabilitation and other support for veterans.
The Ukrainian Esports Federation is an all-Ukrainian public organization created with the view to promoting and developing cyber-sport in Ukraine.
The organization is an official member of a number of international cyber-sport foundations. It has launched over 200 tournaments, including five national and four international ones. More than 17,000 participants joined these tournaments.
According to Ihor Bezkaravainyi, there is currently a certain interest towards e-sport among veterans.
“If e-sport motivates veterans to harmoniously reintegrate into society after service or war we cannot walk by and cannot but use this tool,” highlighted the Deputy Minister in the signing of the memorandum.
