On January 12, Ukraine celebrates annually the Day of the Ukrainian Political Prisoner.
This is a day of honor for Ukrainians for whom beliefs and values have become more precious than physical freedom.
In the modern history of Ukraine, it has acquired a new context. At a time of widespread openness, the Russian authorities continue to imprison Ukrainians and representatives of other nationalities who oppose the occupying power and the Kremlin's aggression.
With their protest, Ukrainians of great strength of spirit are defending the values of our nation across the world.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine proposes to unite and support those who are still being held hostage by the aggressor by writing them a letter. Warm words from their homeland are the most valuable breath of freedom, a great moral support that will give strength in order to overcome these difficulties and return home.
